Host Stanford, with a second-half goal from Rhett Harty, defeated the University of San Diego, 1-0. Harty scored from 15 yards out after controlling a throw-in at the 60:46 mark.

San Diego State yielded goals to Belete Bekele and Armando Valdivia and fell to Cal State Northridge, 2-0, at Aztec Bowl. SDSU, which had just one shot on goal and nine for the game, is 10-3-4.
