Accreditation a Long Process

William Wells, in his letter Oct. 29 on Soka University, continued to use the accreditation of Soka as a smoke screen.
The school is fully accredited in Japan and preparing to be accredited here. It takes several years and there should be no disparaging remarks because the university has not completed the process. We would not withhold the title of university from Oxford if it opened a branch here, land-use issue or not.
This is only a ploy to delude Calabasas residents that they should support a major park takeover on the site. I wish the community knew all of the facts instead of the bill of goods they are being handed by Wells and others with their own agendas.
