A 31-year-old San Diego man was in critical condition Saturday after being shot three times while trying to break up a fight outside a Barrio Logan home, police said.
Albert Groft told San Diego police detectives that he had been trying to break up the fight between two Hispanic males at a house in the first block of 17th Street when he was shot at about 10:45 p.m.
He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the torso. Detectives are still looking for the gunman as well as the two men involved in the fight.
