VENTURA : Man Wearing Black Makeup Robs Bank

A man wearing a bandanna around his head and black makeup robbed a Ventura bank of an undisclosed amount of cash at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, Ventura police said.
The man, described as being in his 20s and wearing denim overalls, handed a note demanding money to a teller at American Commercial Bank on Telephone Road, police said.
No gun was seen on the robber, who fled before police arrived, police said. Bank officials declined to comment.
