Bakersfield Rallies to Beat Chapman in Volleyball

ORANGE — Cal State Bakersfield, ranked fourth in the NCAA Division II, rallied to defeat No. 18 Chapman in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. women’s volleyball match Tuesday at Chapman’s Hutton Center.
After splitting the first two games, Chapman won the third, 15-6, but Bakersfield (16-7, 7-0 in the CCAA) won the final two for a 10-15, 15-11, 6-15, 15-12, 15-11 victory and sole possession of first place in the CCAA.
Brandy Camarillo had 20 kills, Katie Deisinger had 19 and Rachel Morton 17 for Bakersfield. Debi Waller had 24 kills and Heather Mead had 15 for the Panthers (17-10, 5-2), who remained in third place.
