Man Dies After Van Nuys Shooting

A man, who authorities said appeared to be in his 20s, died Sunday after he was shot in the head in Van Nuys, Los Angeles police said.
The man, whose name was not released until relatives could be notified, was shot once about 7 p.m. in the 15400 block of Vanowen Street, police said. The victim died about an hour later at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, police said.
Police released no other details. Homicide detectives were investigating.
