Bachelors Agree: Marriage Is Irrelevant

So surprise, surprise. There are 2.5 million bachelors in this country and many of them are quite happy to be that way.
When I was a kid, I thought that married life was supposed to be like “The Donna Reed Show” or “Leave It to Beaver.” Later I realized that the ideal TV family image was basically an illusion produced by writers and paid for by sponsors selling cigarettes and hair spray.
I personally cannot think of one single way that being married would improve my life.
