SANTA ANA — Three young men were shot and wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday night, police said.
Details were sketchy, but residents in the 1900 block of South Halliday Street said they heard gunfire at around 10 p.m.
The identities and the condition of the three victims were not immediately known. At least one victim was shot in the head and another was airlifted to a hospital, according to a Santa Ana police dispatcher.
“I was sleeping when I heard all these shots,” said one resident who did not give his name. “Everyone is confused right now. All we know is that three boys who live on this street got shot.”
