Body Found After Israeli, Jordan Guards Open Fire

JERUSALEM — Israeli and Jordanian border guards opened fire on a man suspected of trying to cross the frontier between the two countries, and the victim’s body was found Wednesday morning, the army said.
An army statement said the man was spotted on the Israeli side late Tuesday night along the Yarmouk River east of the Sea of Galilee. The name and nationality of the man were not released. Military sources said he was in civilian clothes and was unarmed.
