CAMARILLO : Water Agency Offers New Shower Heads
Residents in the Camrosa Water District will have an opportunity to exchange their old shower heads for low-flow units this month in a program designed to save water.
In conjunction with the Santa Rosa Valley 4-H Club, the district will distribute the shower heads Saturday morning and the morning of Oct. 26 at the park at Pradera and Las Posas roads.
The low-flow shower heads use 2.4 gallons of water per minute and can save 5.5 gallons of water during a five-minute shower, officials said.
To participate in the program, residents must have old shower heads to exchange.
Residents of Leisure Village, Rancho Adolfo Mobile Home Estates and Camarillo Mobile Home Park may exchange their shower heads at the homeowners association office where they live. Other residents in the district may pick up new shower heads while supplies last at the Camrosa office, 7385 Santa Rosa Road.
