San Marino : Parking Requirement Eased
The City Council voted Wednesday to reduce the number of parking spaces new restaurants must provide.
After studies by the Planning Commission and Councilman W. Michael Johnson, the council determined that the previous requirement of one space per 50 square feet of restaurant area was too restrictive.
The new requirement, adopted on first reading, will be one space per 45 square feet of restaurant area accessible to the public and one space per 250 square feet of non-accessible area.
