Thousand Oaks 42, Agoura 0--Junior tailback Quincy Jacobs scored three first-half touchdowns on runs of 60, 38 and 10 yards to lead the Lancers (3-1, 1-0) over host Agoura (2-2, 0-1).
Thousand Oaks scored touchdowns on each of its four first-half possessions on drives of 69, 39, 66 and 52 yards, and strong safety Dan Fitzgerald added a fifth score with a 48-yard interception return for a 35-0 halftime lead.
On the Lancers’ third play from scrimmage, Jacobs burst off right tackle and then cut down the sideline for a 60-yard touchdown. Normally the Lancer fullback, Jacobs was filling in for injured tailback Cory Bowen, who is sidelined with a pulled hamstring muscle.
The Lancer offensive line--center John Morton, guards Matt Hansen and Tom Magallanes, tackles Paul Yerman and Eric Bensen and tight end Shane Graham--opened huge holes as Thousand Oaks amassed 312 yards rushing, 215 in the first half.
Jacobs finished with 191 yards in 17 carries, junior tailback Ryan Molina added 64 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries and wingback Jamal Nichols carried four times for 39 yards and a score.
