PLACENTIA — A 21-year-old Anaheim man was killed Friday when he was thrown from his motorcycle after it struck a street divider, police said.
The victim, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died shortly after the 3:55 p.m. accident, Placentia Police Lt. Bob Jones said. The man was not wearing a helmet.
Jones said the motorcyclist was heading west on Yorba Linda Boulevard near Linda Vista Street when he struck the center divider. Based on the scuff marks on the side of the curb, police said the motorcycle apparently skirted along the curb before the biker was ejected.
