Drew Bledsoe scored two touchdowns and threw for another and Jason Hanson kicked a 62-yard field goal Saturday night as Washington State rolled over Nevada Las Vegas, 40-13.

The Cougars won for the first time after opening the season with three consecutive losses. UNLV is 2-2.

Hanson’s field goal was the longest in NCAA history without a kicking tee. The record with a tee is 67 yards, first by Russell Erxleben of Texas in 1977, matched later that year by Steve Little of Arkansas, and by Joe Williams of Wichita State in 1978.
