Fernie Morales remained in stable but critical condition in an Indio hospital, after Saturday night surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain. Morales collapsed about 1 1/2 hours after losing a 12-round decision to International Boxing Federation bantamweight champion Orlando Canizales Saturday afternoon in Indio.
