VENTURA : Building Council Backs 3 Candidates

The Ventura County Building and Trades Council endorsed three pro-business candidates for Ventura City Council on Wednesday.
The council endorsed labor attorney Tom Buford, nursery owner Greg Carson and personnel consultant Jack Tingstrom.
The three have also won the endorsements of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce and a political action committee called Venturans for a Responsible Government, the only other groups to endorse council candidates for the November election.
The Building and Trades Council represents about 5,000 trade union members countywide.
