Armenian Society Honors Glendale College Employee

* Osheen Keshishian of Glendale Community College has been honored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union’s Southern California Women’s Society for his service to the community.
Keshishian, a student personnel worker at the college and teacher of conversational Armenian, is also editor of the Armenian Observer.
* Student nurse Cynthia McManus of Los Angeles has received the 1991 James D. Durante Nurse Scholarship awarded by the American Health Care Assn. in Washington.
McManus, a student in the vocational nursing program at Glendale Community College, was one of 20 winners from more than 300 applicants. In return for the $500 scholarship, she will perform 25 hours of service at Amberwood Convalescent Hospital in Highland Park.
McManus plans to graduate in 1992.
* Cynthia Trangsrud, a lawyer with Knapp, Petersen & Clarke, has been elected to the Glendale Foundation for the Retarded.
A Minnesota native, Trangsrud also heads the Education Committee of the Glendale Chamber.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization providing financial support for programs operated by the Glendale Assn. for the Retarded.
