Citing weak U.S. sales, Volkswagen’s American subsidiary said it plans to cut its work force by 10%, or about 150 jobs, by March, 1992. . . . Arizona-based Callahan Mining Corp. has agreed to be acquired by Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp., Coeur d’Alene, Ida., in a merger valued at about $54 million.
