The Yamaha Corp. of America has given $5,000 to the Cypress Pops Orchestra to help underwrite concert costs, and will loan the orchestra a nine-foot grand piano for its Sept. 29 concert in the Cypress College auditorium, 9200 Valley View Ave., Cypress. Lavaun Beyer will be soloist in Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” John Hall will conduct. The concert will start at 7 p.m. and admission will be free. Information: (714) 527-0964.
