NEWPORT BEACH : Wine-Tasting Store Up for Approval

A wine- and beer-tasting store may be the newest tenant in Lido Village if a plan scheduled to go before the Planning Commission today is approved.
The shop, planned for a former muffin store in the village, would sell domestic and imported specialty beers and wines and will offer in-shop tastings.
The Planning Department suggests approval of the shop, saying it falls under the area’s commercial code, and satisfies the necessary requirements, such as parking spaces.
The store would operate at 3431 Via Oporto. It would also offer snack foods, but would not prepare foods on the premises.
