A 11-year-old boy died after he was hit by a car while riding a skateboard in Encanto, authorities said.
Sean Everett O’Quinn died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, about an hour after he was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, according to the county medical examiner’s office.
The boy was riding the skateboard in the 6600 block of Charlene Avenue when he was struck, said Bill Robinson, a spokesman for the San Diego Police Department.
The driver was being questioned, but was not immediately cited, Robinson said.
