CSUN Women Lose 2 Volleyball Matches
Cal State Northridge’s women’s volleyball team started its season inauspiciously Friday with two losses in the Boise State (Ida.) Labor Day Classic.
In a first-round match, Idaho State beat CSUN in five games. The scores were 15-5, 15-9, 8-15, 11-15, 18-16. Patricia Fitzsimmons led the Matadors with 15 kills, Melissa Clements and Nancy Nicholls each had 14, and Ana Kristich added 11.
Boise State (1-1) defeated Northridge in three games. The scores were 15-13, 15-4, 15-13. Clements had nine kills.
