Six Teen-Agers Held on Suspicion of Murder
Six teen-agers were arrested Friday in the death of a man gunned down during an aborted robbery as he was leaving a South Gate nightclub with a companion, authorities said.
The victim and his friend were walking to their car after the bar closed at 1:30 a.m. Another car drove up and three people jumped out and demanded the victim’s money and car keys. Sheriff’s Deputy Gabe Ramirez said the victim had started to comply when he was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Booked on suspicion of murder were Juan Godoy, 19, Norge Dirado, 18, and four boys, ages 14, 16 and two 17-year-olds.
