WEEKEND TV : ‘Jerry Lewis Telethon’ Set for Annual Two-Day Event
Slick back that hair and open those checkbooks, it’s time again for “The Jerry Lewis Telethon†for the Muscular Dystrophy Assn.
The Labor Day weekend tradition will begin Sunday at 6 p.m. (5)(39) and WGN, 7 p.m. (42). The two-day event, originating from Las Vegas, includes Lewis, Ed McMahon and a host of celebrities entertaining and soliciting funds for “Jerry’s Kids.†KTLA news anchors Jann Karl and Larry McCormick will host locally televised segments.
“The Neville Brothers: Live at Tipitina’s,†today at 1 p.m. on VH-1, features Aaron, Art, Cyril and Charles Neville performing at the famed New Orleans landmark.
Forrest Sawyer hosts “Revolution at Work,†tonight at 10 on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42, a program that examines changes faced by workers and employers in the coming years.
