PHOENIX — A Former cook who spat on a hamburger as he prepared it for a policeman has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault.
George Juan Kuehme, who entered the plea Tuesday as part of a deal with prosecutors, allegedly saw a police car at the drive-up window of a restaurant and spat on his hamburger, saying, “That’s what an officer gets.”
Officer Gary Underhill noticed something amiss when he bit into his sandwich after leaving the fast-food restaurant Dec. 10 and went back to arrest Kuehme.
Kuehme, 20, will be sentenced to 45 days in jail and put on probation under his plea agreement with prosecutors.
