McDonald’s to Open Playground: McDonald’s Corp. is growing by Leaps & Bounds, an experimental indoor playground business for children that takes the fast-food chain into a radically different market. An 11,000-square-foot prototype--emphasizing physical fitness, not McDonald’s food--is expected to open by the end of September in Naperville, Ill., the company said. Children will pay $4.95 to enter Leaps & Bounds for the day and must be accompanied by a parent. Parents will enter free.
