O.C. Couple Will Pick Up Tab for Awards Luncheon

Christmas has come early for the Hollywood Women’s Press Club, which each December presents the Golden Apple Awards to movie and TV celebrities deemed by the club to be the year’s most newsworthy.
Santa Ana Heights philanthropists John and Donna Crean have surprised the group with a donation from their American Foundation for the Performing Arts to underwrite the 51st annual awards luncheon, set for Dec. 8. The underwriting frees all proceeds from the event to fund the club’s charities, Free Arts for Abused Children, and its scholarship fund.
