Santa Monica : Home Repairs Open House

An open house will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 7 to celebrate the rehabilitation of 700 housing units in the Pico Neighborhood of Santa Monica by the Neighborhood Resource and Development Corporation.
The nonprofit community development corporation, funded by the city of Santa Monica, provides free home repairs for low - income residents. The repairs offered range from a new roof to fixing a leaky faucet, the agency’s executive director, Clyde Smith , said.
Smith said the program has been in operation since 1984 and this year has a budget of $316,874.
The reception will be held at the resource corporation office at 2140 Colorado Ave.
