Reynold Brown; Movie Poster Artist, Magazine Illustrator

Reynold Brown, 73, a top Hollywood movie poster artist, magazine illustrator and former instructor at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Brown did posters for such films as “The Alamo,” “Ben Hur,” “How the West Was Won,” “The Creature From the Black Lagoon,” “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” “Mutiny on the Bounty” and “Dr. Zhivago.” Brown’s illustrations over a 50-year career were seen in such magazines as Life, Cosmopolitan and Popular Science. Brown moved from Los Angeles to Nebraska after a serious illness. In Lincoln, Neb. on Sunday, of unspecified causes after surgery.
