Irvine’s Hundeby Wins Long-Distance Race

Chad Hundeby of Irvine won the Pan-Pacific 25-kilometer long-distance swimming championship Wednesday in Sylvan Lake, Canada.
Hundeby won the race, which is about 15 1/2 miles, in 5 hours 21 minutes 10 seconds. Steven Baird of Canada was second in 5:44:49.
Shelley Taylor-Smith of Australia won the women’s division in 5:55:45.
