Pasadena : Freeway Tunnels to Close
A repair project on the Foothill Freeway is requiring the nighttime closure of two tunnels for the next nine days.
The work by the California Department of Transportation is occurring along the eastbound Foothill Freeway just west of Fair Oaks Avenue. The road is closed from midnight to 5 a.m. daily, through Aug. 30, and detour signs have been erected.
The $80,000 project involves the cleaning and painting of the tunnels, and repairing of light fixtures. Earlier this month, repairs were made on the tunnels between the westbound Foothill and the southbound Long Beach Freeway.
