Gang Member Found Slain at Elementary School

A gang member was found shot to death Friday morning on the grounds of a Valinda-area elementary school, authorities said.
Marcelino Nava-Esparza, 21, of Valinda was found about 7:20 a.m. at Grandview Elementary School, in the unincorporated neighborhood south of West Covina, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Mary Landreth said.
“A custodian found his body lying next to the baseball field,” she said.
Deputies said the shooting was gang related. No arrests were made.
