HemaCare Posts $165,700 Loss in 2nd Quarter

HemaCare Corp., a Sherman Oaks provider of blood products and therapeutic services, said it lost $165,700 in the second quarter that ended June 30 on record quarterly revenues of $1.9 million.
For the same period last year, HemaCare had a $296,000 loss. Revenues in the second quarter last year were $1.55 million.
HemaCare said the latest loss included $279,000 in expenses for its Passive Hyperimmune Therapy AIDS research project and a loss of $38,000 from the sale of certain assets of its clinical lab business.
