A 91-year-old woman, beaten when she apparently surprised an intruder in her home last Sunday, has died from her injuries, the medical examiner’s office said.
Ellen Kerrison of the 5800 block of Redondo Drive in Bonsall called authorities on the 911 line about 5 p.m. and could only say, “I need help.â€
Emergency crews found her lying on the floor of her bedroom and took her to Palomar Hospital, where she was pronounced dead Thursday.
Authorities are looking for a silver-gray pickup seen leaving the residence about the time of the attack.
