ANAHEIM : Officials Cite Need for Window Screens
The Anaheim Fire Department issued a public service announcement Thursday urging parents and guardians of small children to put up screens to prevent children from falling through open windows.
Citing an accident earlier this week where a child fell from the second floor of an Anaheim apartment building, the Fire Department stressed the need for additional caution in the summer.
Although the child in this week’s incident was not severely harmed, fire officials warned that such accidents could be fatal.
