Back From the Dead: When Wayne Northrop was last seen on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives� in his role of the “tough but sensitive� detective Roman Brady, he was shown plunging off a cliff during a violent struggle. That was in 1984. But tune in Aug. 30, and Northrop will be back--playing the same role. Northrop’s storyline will intertwine with that of Deidre Hall, who likewise recently resumed her original role of Dr. Marlena Evans-Brady. The detective’s “death� had ended the pair’s torrid romance. Executive producer Ken Corday says Northrop’s return “gives us a wonderful opportunity to expand one of the most intriguing adventures and popular romances in the history of our show.�
