Aquino Gives Final State of Nation Address

MANILA — Philippine President Corazon Aquino told the nation Monday she has made mistakes and unpopular decisions in five years in office but that she hopes history will judge her kindly.
“I honestly did the best I could,†said Aquino, 58, in her final state of the nation address to Congress. She said she will not run for president again when her six-year term ends in June, 1992.
