Nation IN BRIEF : GEORGIA : State to Seek Murder Charges in Bombings

Prosecutor Spencer Lawton Jr., district attorney in Chatham County, Ga., says he will file state murder charges against Walter Leroy Moody Jr., who was convicted by a federal jury in St. Paul, Minn., in the mail-bomb deaths of a federal appeals court judge and a civil rights attorney. Moody could be sentenced to death if convicted of murder. Moody plans to appeal his conviction, attorney Ed Tolley said. Tolley added that he doubts the verdict would be reversed.
