RETAIL/TOURISM : Doubletree Renames Hotels, Eliminates an Identity Problem
- Share via
The Compri Hotel near John Wayne Airport has had a name change. The 170-room hotel is now the Doubletree Club Hotel, but its ownership remains the same.
Doubletree Hotels Corp., a subsidiary of Canadian Pacific Hotels in Canada, decided to change the name of the Compri hotels so that they will be more readily identified as part of the Doubletree chain.
The Orange County hotel and three others--Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario and Rancho Bernardo--were among the first to receive the new name last month. The remaining Compri hotels will become Doubletree Club Hotels in July.
