Body Found in High Desert Is Female
A body found in a remote section of the Antelope Valley on Saturday was that of a woman, not a man as was earlier reported, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
The decomposed body was found about 1:30 p.m. near 220th Street East and Avenue T-12 by shepherds grazing their flocks, Sgt. Gus Risinger said.
Investigators were attempting to determine the woman’s identity and the cause of death, a department spokesman said.
