Stock Sales a Fluke, McDonald’s Says

OAK BROOK, Ill. — McDonald’s Corp. said large stock sales by many of its top executives recently are not an indication that the company will performance problems.
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that 20 McDonald’s executives sold 349,263 shares in the first quarter of 1991.
Senior Vice President Dick Starmann noted that McDonald’s and its executives hold about 14% of the company’s common stock, up from 9% in 1988.
