A 12-person Los Angeles Municipal Court jury will announce its verdict today in the trial of three USC football players charged with misdemeanor sexual assault for an alleged dormitory room attack on a female graduate student, representatives of the defense said.
Because the jury did not reach a verdict until late Thursday, announcement of its decision before Municipal Court Judge Edward A. Ferns was postponed until today.
The trial of Michael Jones, Willie McGinest and Jason Oliver took almost five weeks to complete. The jury began deliberations Tuesday afternoon.
