The 1992 U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team, widely expected to be the best in history, will make its debut in Portland, Ore., next year at the first Tournament of the Americas. The competition, featuring a U.S. squad that will include NBA players, will determine the four teams from the Western Hemisphere that will participate in the 1992 Barcelona Games.
