MUGU ROCK : Oxnard Man Was Drowning Victim

A man who drowned after slipping off Mugu Rock has been identified as Luciano Olivares, authorities said Tuesday.
Olivares, 23, was a resident of Oxnard, according to the Ventura County coroner’s office. His parents live in Mexico, authorities said.
Olivares was trying to take a photograph from Mugu Rock on Sunday when he was swept into the ocean. He did not know how to swim, authorities said.
