Oxy Unit Settles Contract Dispute: Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America reached a settlement with its utility customers under which the interstate natural gas transmission company will collect $582.9 million, plus interest, in past contract costs. NGP is owned by MidCon Corp., a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum. Its customers began objecting to charges made after a November, 1990, filing by the company with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to recover gas transmission costs.
