WLAF Honors Former El Camino, Bishop Montgomery Standout Sale
Many players have claimed to be all-world throughout the years. Lloyd Free, who played with the San Diego Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers, even went as far as changing his name to World.
However, Ken Sale is a legitimate all-world player.
Sale, a former Bishop Montgomery High and El Camino College standout, was a second-team World League of American Football selection. The team was chosen by a vote of the league’s coaches.
Sale, a linebacker and defensive co-captain with the European Division champion London Monarchs, had 33 tackles, 10 assists, two sacks and an interception.
The Monarchs, who play the New York/New Jersey Knights today in a semifinal playoff game, concluded the regular season with a league-best 9-1 record. They also had the league’s top defense against the run and were second overall.
