SIMI VALLEY : Hospital Fair Will Celebrate New Name
Simi Valley Hospital and Health Care Services will host a country fair and barbecue Sunday to celebrate its new name.
The fair will be from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the hospital in the 2900 block of Sycamore Drive, said hospital spokeswoman Kimberly Cortner. The event will feature a free barbecue, live country music, square-dancing, carnival games, a children’s petting zoo and door prizes.
“We just wanted to have an event open to the public to showcase some of the changes we’ve made,†Cortner said.
The hospital’s board of directors decided to change the name of the medical facility from Simi Valley Adventist Hospital to emphasize its recent expansion and ongoing renovation. The actual name change occurred earlier this month.
