Woman Who Vanished During Walk Sought
Glendale police were searching Thursday for a 30-year-old woman who disappeared while taking her regular evening walk in an affluent hillside neighborhood.
Somsri Saisunee was last seen about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Country Club Drive in north Glendale, Sgt. Peter A. Michael said.
Officers have checked the neighborhood and used a helicopter to search the nearby hills, but found no evidence of a struggle or foul play, he said.
Saisunee moved to the United States from Thailand about three months ago and does not speak English, the police spokesman said.
She was residing at her employer’s Country Club Drive house but was not believed to have any friends or relatives in the area, he said.
The employer called police Sunday when the woman did not return from her walk.
The missing woman was described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 130 to 140 pounds, with dark eyes and short black hair.
She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with orange writing on it, blue jeans and black loafer shoes.
