Coronado
The body of a slain woman washed ashore near the sea wall in Coronado on Sunday morning, officials said.
Two campers came across the fully clothed body and called police, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers found the body off Carnation Avenue at 7 a.m. The victim was about 75 feet north of the sea wall on the beach. The woman had suffered multiple stab wounds. Her identity had not been released, according to the San Diego County medical examiner’s office.
The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
