CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : GARDEN GROVE : Armored Car Guard Critically Wounded

An armored car guard was shot and critically wounded Thursday while servicing an automated teller machine at a convenience store, police said. Three people were held for questioning in the shooting. John G. Statkus, 24, of Fullerton, was listed in extremely critical condition at UCI Medical Center in Orange, hospital spokeswoman Elaine Beno said.
